“Time does not pass, it continues” ― Marty Rubin

As a child - well, as a chronological adult too - I wouldn't let it pass when someone (especially her) said that my sister Wendy was four years older than me; after all, it was only three years, ten months, and eighteen days!

As adults she and I would banter back and forth from an old Peanuts strip, echoing Lucy and Linus. Paraphrased, Lucy's line was: "Because I'm the big sister and you're the little brother. And that's the way it is, and that's the way it was, and that's the way it will always be." Linus' response to that was simple: "sigh"

I've now lived more days than Wendy ever did.

*sigh*

That resonates with me, too, Brent. When my two-years-older brother passed away, I marked the year when I realized I was older than he had been, with a similar *sigh*.
Wendy is always in our hearts and minds, and will never be forgotten. Hugs.
