Wendy Buckner (1959 - 2010)
A memorial celebration of my sister Wendy's life will be held in Ottawa, Canada at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road, Wednesday, June 30th, 2010. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until Words of Remembrance at 2 p.m.

I saw this the other day, but didn't make the connection. So sorry to hear about your loss. :( My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Brent, although you don't know me, my Nana (Mary Wilson (nee - Buckner)...your Great Aunt) was telling me today about Wendy's passing. First of all, my heart goes out to you & your family. Stay strong through this!!
It is neat to find out that there are other Swimmers & Ironman triathletes in our family :)

Your sister was a great lady with a big, sweet spirit. Of all the people my wife met that Ironman weekend, she clearly remembered Wendy and her warmth. Even online, she made the world better.
I am so, so sorry to hear of Wendy's passing. How does this happen? I met Wendy once at Ironman WI and we had corresponded through blogland since that time. She was special. My condolences to you and your family.
I wish I could be there tomorrow. She was a great woman who touched so many lives in many ways. I think of her every time I swim.
