Strip Tease

The Strip is less crowded than the other few times I've been here. One cab driver claimed that it's not just seasonal, it's the economy. Still a lot of people around and a lot of money being spent!

Thursday evening we mostly hung out at _Paris_. Good band, quieter surroundings than most clubs, and an older crowd. Suited us.

Friday evening we went to _Elton John: The Red Piano_. Fun show! The background films by David LaChapelle are engaging - some of the images struck me as self-consciously arty, but they certainly aren't dull. The song selection does a good job of forming a career overview/retrospective. Elton John seemed to be enjoying himself, and the audience members certainly were.

Friend played poker after the show through all last night into late morning. He's sleeping the afternoon away in his room, leaving me rattling around on my own. Good thing it's tough to get into trouble in this town.

Funny! Hmmm, you still have time to have some nicely seedy adventures--the TV/bed situation will drive you out of your room late tonight, and you will fall straight into some sort of amusingly noirish scenario! Have fun...

How fun to see Elton John. Would certainly bring back many memories. One of my childhood friends and I used to spend hours playing and singing his songs. Our poor parents!
