Seasonal
Hurricane season officially began on Sunday June 1st.
Rainy season unofficially began a little earlier. The quote in the previous post stated that the ground was getting moist. This week's forecast is wet. And it was a wet, humid weekend just passed.
Saturday morning we had a visitor on our condo steps:
Likely exhausted from the evening, this visitor made no effort to escape intrusive camera lens:
Saturday night's visitor suggests we've had some recent hatching activity:
Looking around the light outside my front door on Saturday night indicated that insectivores will be doing just fine.

Aw, cutie little lizards! When I lived in the DR, I loved having them running around my house...
You had an exciting visitor! Hmmm, that guy really looks like he's from another planet, pretty cool...
Climbey amphibians and wee little reptiles! How very nice of them to drop by! (The poor frog does indeed look pooped.)
Ribbet!
Brent,
those are fine critters. Do you miss the squirrels from your home country? Do you want me to send a few to you :)
Most critters skeedaddle if I try to take a picture of them. That one must have been either exhausted or used to it. Either way very cute!
I love the frog!
Hurricane season. Oh my. I lived through a hurricane(Ivan) in Jamaica in 2004. Best thing to do is just prepare and wait it out.
Now those are the kind of visitors that can come over any day.
In Okinawa (Japan) we had geckos living in the house. If I saw one outside, I'd shoo it into the house. Great entertainment they are. Oftentimes better than anything on TV.
cool pics!!!
That is one cool picture! It looks like he's posing for you. I'm waiting for him to jump up with a hat and cane and start singin', "Hello my darlin' - hello my baby - hello my ragtime gaaaaaal!"
